Richard Hannula was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He holds a B.A. in history from the University of Southern California and a master's degree from the University of Washington. He is the author of eight books including: Trial and Triumph: Stories from Church History (Canon Press) and Our Northwest Heritage and Lights in the Northwest (Sound Summit Books). Since 1980, he has taught history to high school students in Washington State.
