About the Author - Richard Hannula was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate with a B.A. in history from the University of Southern California. He holds a master's degree from the University of Washington. He is the author of Trial and Triumph: Stories from Church History (Canon Press) and Our Northwest Heritage and Lights in the Northwest (Sound Summit Books). Since 1980, he has taught history in Washington State and he currently serves as principal and teaches history courses at a Christian high school in Washington.
